01Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu

Fly to Kathmandu. Responsible Adventures representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Today is a free day to rest from your flight, settle in, check your gear and perhaps some last minute shopping while in the Capital for your upcoming trek.

After breakfast, we will head to the domestic airport to catch a flight to Pokhara. The flight will take about 30 minutes, and if the weather is clear, you will see incredible views of the Himalayas all the way. After landing and collecting our bags, we will meet up with our transport, which will take us on a 4-hour journey to Beni. From here your trek will begin! And this is a trek with a difference. We will be in an area that is rarely visited by tourists. Today we will start with a short trek to Galeshwar before stopping for lunch. After you’ve refueled, we’ll set off to Benskharka, a 3-hour trek (1526m).

After a good breakfast at the village dining hall, we will be off on a 4-hour trek before stopping for lunch. Another 3 to 4 hours walking after lunch will bring us to Nangi village at 2300m where we stay the night. Nangi is a busy village with cottage industries in mushroom farming and papermaking. We can see some of these processes for ourselves after resting after we arrive.

We hit the trail after breakfast, and we aim to reach Mohare Danda. It is a 7 hour day walk through Rhododendron forests until lunch when we break out of the woods and on to high mountain grasslands. On clear days we'll have great views Pokhara down in the valley. We will be trekking above the forest. Once we hike over a big hill the views of the Annapurna mountain range will be visible. On clear days there is an unobstructed panorama of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range as long as the weather is clear. If it is a clear evening, you can enjoy a spectacular sunset right from dining room windows.

We will wake up early for sunrise and head out of the community lodge to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. The dawn is a spectacular sight and one that you'll remember for a long time. After sunrise we'll have breakfast and head down from Mohare, along with a beautiful ridge where we can see Annapurna South to the east and while Dhaulagiri to the west. We will arrive in Khibang (2260m) after a 6 hours hike, a much more relaxed day than the previous ones. You’ll stay at another villager’s home and get a good dinner in the community-dining hall. Take in all the sights, sounds and tranquility and enjoy your penultimate night in the mountains.

We will start our 6-hour journey down to Tikot. Today is relatively flat (Nepalese flat), and depending on how fast we trek we will either have lunch along the trail or when we arrive in Tikot. Once we arrive at the guesthouse in Tikot, we will relax and enjoy our final night in the mountains, away from cars, crowds, and noise.

Our last day's trekking will take about 4 hours to reach the end of the trail at BAISARI, where our local vehicle will be waiting for us, to bring us to Beni, Due to the condition of the road in the area. We will transfer into a vehicle which will take us all the way back to Pokhara. We'll arrive at our hotel in the late afternoon, which gives us time to wash up, organize some clean clothes and get ready to head out for a relaxing evening. The night is yours to explore Pokhara, do some shopping or relax in one of the many bars or cafes.

Today, we can chill out in Pokhara or do a paragliding tandem flight or boating, shopping, etc.

This morning after breakfast we transfer to the Pokhara airport, from here we fly to Kathmandu according to your international departure time.
