Three women, from three different cities - Kathmandu, Calgary, and Saint Petersburg just crossed Thorong La pass this morning together with Raj from Responsible Adventures. They have safely arrived Muktinath by mid-day. They reported having a beautifully clear morning up in the 5416 meters high pass despite the monsoon weather. They have been on a hiking journey to the Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho lake Since 18 September 2016.
These women have been planning this journey for some time and are very happy to have finally concurred Thorong - la and Tilicho. They enjoyed the trip despite occasional lousy weather due to the rain. They have been lucky in Tilicho base camp as well as the sky completely opened up for them to have the view of Annapurna and the stars early in the morning.
They plan to take a comfortable option of driving down to Jomsom and explore the surroundings on a Jeep. What a fantastic way to complete the journey to drive around in this lower Mustang area in luxury.
Note: This year the monsoon lingered on until nearly the third week of October.
