Annapurna Base Camp Wellness  Trek

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an extraordinary journey that takes you through breathtaking scenery and diverse landscapes, culminating in the awe-inspiring amphitheatre of the Annapurna Sanctuary. This sanctuary is encircled by several magnificent Himalayan peaks, such as Machapuchare (6,997m), Gangapurna (7,454m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,273m), and the unconquered Fang (7,647m).

Our adventure commences in Pokhara, easily accessible via a short flight from Kathmandu. From Pokhara, we make our way to the starting point of our trek in Birethanti (1,000m), a charming village alongside the Modi River. As we embark on our journey, we traverse lush forests, gradually ascending via a stone “staircase” to Ulleri. This traditional Gurung village, Chomrong (2,060m), marks our next significant stop along the trek.

Continuing, we encounter the Hinku Cave before reaching the awe-inspiring “gate” that marks the entry to the Annapurna Sanctuary. This pass, nestled between the majestic peaks of Machapuchhre and Himchuli, presents a mesmerizing sight. The trek’s highlights further include witnessing the captivating sunrise from Poon Hill, passing through enchanting oak, rhododendron, and bamboo forests, which are home to a vibrant array of exotic flora and fauna.

The journey reaches its pinnacle as we trek to Machapuchhre Base Camp (3,729m) and, ultimately, Annapurna Base Camp (4,620m). These destinations provide an unparalleled experience, surrounded by the grandeur of the towering Himalayan peaks that dominate the sanctuary.

Throughout the trek, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas, immersive cultural experiences, and the opportunity to connect with nature. It is a truly remarkable adventure that combines the serenity of the Himalayas with the sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching the Annapurna Base Camp.
