Tokha Cultural Immersion Day Hike

Tokha village lies north of Kathmandu valley adjacent to Shivapuri and Narayanthan hill range. The village is mainly inhabited by Newars whose primary source of livelihood is farming. The people of Tokha are proud to have so many traditions and cultures still alive today.
We explore Tokha-Chandeswori and the nearby trails in a day to interact with the locals and observe their way of life. The hike is leisurely and is fit for all ages.

Meet in Thamel for an early morning breakfast. Order packed lunch and water for the day tour.
A van drives you to the outskirts of Kathmandu past Gangabu towards Tokha Road. The van drops us off at Tokha village. We explore Tokha village and start leisurely hike towards Narayanthan. The walk is easy and mostly on Jeep and via agricultural fields. Cut across Narayanthan and visit the largest sleeping Vishnu Temple also known as Budhanilkantha. We enjoy our lunch at the entrance of Shivapuri National park. Our van picks us up and drives back to Kathmandu. Tour ends.
