Even though some of our trips go to very remote places and include camping, we make sure you enjoy plenty of home comforts. On the camping treks, you have a full camp staff at your service and camp amenities like dining tents and hot coffee or tea, brought to your tent each morning and supplementary snacks during the walk.

Who goes on our trips? Friends, couples, singles-all people who are active, enthusiastic, and share a great curiosity about the world. They love to set off on a great hike, learn new things, and meet local people. Most folks who join our trips are already very well-traveled, and many have traveled with us before. Our wonderful Trip Leaders add to the convivial atmosphere, as do evenings of laughter and conversation over a good meal with fellow trip members who often become lifelong friends.
We Handle All Your Travel Details
Our Area Managers specialize in a particular part of the world and they possess a wealth of knowledge about our destinations. That means they can answer your questions frankly and promptly and help you choose a trip that's right for you. The Detailed Daily Itinerary for each trip provides helpful preparation information, and we are happy to put you in contact with previous trip members who have been on the trip you're interested in so you can ask them about their experience. When you sign up, which you can do by phone with a credit card deposit, the Area Manager is usually your single point of contact, taking care of trip details, air ticketing and trip extensions, and providing you with specifics on everything from clothing to visas to immunizations. We also provide a reading list to spark your imagination for the journey ahead. In short, we take care of every detail so you can just pack your duffel and set off on the adventure of a lifetime. In the field, this high level of service continues in the good hands of our world-class Trip Leaders.
